Unfilter Using Mods If this is difficult to understand the way I've written it, I apologize. Not changing mods in any way mid-playthrough is the #1 rule of modding. In short, don't use NMM if you like uninstalling and reinstalling mods, and you should essentially NEVER change mods during a playthrough.

Now imagine what happens when a mod changes scripts rather than just textures and the chaos that can ensue. Now you're left with no septim texture, or the vanilla septim texture, depending on if NMM is operating as intended, or as is typical. You uninstall mod 2, and NMM deletes the septim texture. Mod 1 just changes the texture and shape (It's early and I'm forgetting the correct name.), but mod 2 only changes the texture only. Say you have two mods that change the septim texture. Uninstalling mods with NMM has it's own unique set of problems. Some scripts may only be set to fire at the very beginning of a game, and you may never have a properly running mod. Some versions of mods change script behavior and don't restart all their changed scripts. Reinstalling mods during a playthrough can screw up scripts. Uninstalling and reinstalling mods with NMM - should be avoided. Uninstalling and reinstalling mods during a playthrough - should never be done.
